Why I chose WSU
Wichita State was perfect for me because I could still see my family, but it also felt like I was in a completely different town, which gave me some independence. Wichita State has its own unique campus culture. Additionally, everyone in Wichita adores WSU!
The opportunity! I had no idea that Wichita State had so many opportunities for internships, leadership development, networking, research, scholarships and so much more.
GroundHouse! I love snacks and caffeine, and this cute little coffee shop is where I go to relax with my favorite Starbucks drink.
Immerse yourself in your passions. College is a time to explore and change. Wichita State gives you the flexibility to major in your dreams and take courses to challenge your mind and creativity. While you don’t have to say yes to every opportunity, there is no harm in considering it. Being busy and being productive for your future are two different things.
Governing Women’s Bodies in the 20th Century! As a feminist, this class challenged me intellectually and really helped me and my classmates understand the 20th century in relation to the struggles of women during that time period.
