Advanced Networking Research Center

The Advanced Networking Research Center (ANRC) based in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wichita State University performs state-of-the-art theoretical and experimental research in the field of Networking. ANRC also hosts CISCO Technical Research Center (CTRC) and Center for Information Security (CIS). The different areas or research include but not limited to:

  • Voice over IP (VoIP)
  • Multi-service over IP
  • MPLS
  • Aviation Security
  • Mobile IP
  • Quality of Service (QoS)
  • Wireless/Ad Hoc Networks
  • Information Security
  • Storage Area Networking (SAN)
  • RFID

The research center has excellent lab facilities largely supported by Cisco Systems Inc, and LSI. These include over 200 routers and switches. Equipment from other vendors is also available.
