Advanced Networking Research Institute (ANRI)

The Advanced Networking Research Institute (ANRI), formerly Advanced Networking Research Center (ANRC), is based in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Wichita State University. The ANRI contributes to the field of Computer Networking through state-of-the-art theoretical and experimental research. The different areas of research include but are not limited to:

  • Aviation Networking
  • Information Security
  • Storage Area Networking (SAN)
  • RFID
  • SmartGrid/SCADA Network security
  • Wireless/Ad Hoc Networks
  • Mobile IP
  • Multi-Service over IP
  • Quality of Service (QoS)
  • MPLS

ANRI also hosts CISCO Technical Research Center (CTRC), Center for Storage Networking Research (CSNR), Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and Center for Information Security (CIS).

The research center has excellent lab facilities largely supported by Cisco Systems Inc, and NetApp (formally LSI). There are over 200 routers and switches available for research projects, several SAN products, and a variety of other devices from various vendors.
