Advanced Standing Requirements
For degree-seeking students in the Barton School of Business, Advanced Standing is a prerequisite for all upper-division business courses. Upper-division courses are defined as 300-level or above.
Students must meet ALL of the following requirements to obtain Advance Standing:
- Complete Basic Skill Course Requirements (12 hours)
- Complete Advanced Standing Course Requirements (22 hours)
- Complete the Advanced Standing Exams
- Have a minimum overall and Wichita State University institutional GPA of 2.25
- Be a declared business major

* May be used to meet general education requirements (ECON 201 and 202 will NOT count towards general education requirements for ECONOMICS majors).
** Certain Majors may require minimum grades, check your catalog for the pre-requisites for your required major courses.
