Credit by Exam for BADM 160 Business Software
Students must sign up, pay for the exam, and register a SIMnet access code at least three days before the exam date.
You must be a current student at WSU and present your Student ID or Driver's License to take the exam.
Date of Exams: Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
Date of Exams: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
Location of Exams: Clinton Hall Room 210 (Computer Lab)
There are a limited number of seats available to take the exam, so students will need to sign up as soon as possible with the Counseling & Testing Center .
Students who would like to test-out of a Business Software exam must complete the following steps:
Students must purchase the exam software by going to the following website: wichita.simnetonline.com Students need to click on "No, I need to buy a license” to begin the process of purchasing an access code to the software. On the Product page, select: SIMnet 2016 - Skills Approach - Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word - Custom-Wichita ($132.00).
Students will need to go to the Counseling & Testing Center to sign up for the exam and pay a fee of $20.00 per credit hour. The Counseling and Testing Center is located at Grace Wilkie 320 (call 978-3440 for more information).
Students are encouraged to review the course syllabus (available on Blackboard) and online lessons through the SIMnet software, prior to taking the exam. The exam will require students to perform various tasks by using the SIMnet software, which simulates tasks in MS Office (please refer to the syllabus for more details). The exam will contain 3 parts. To receive credit for BADM 160, students must score 70% or better on each and every part of the exam: Exam Part 1 (Word 2016); Exam Part 2 (Excel 2016); and Exam Part 3 (PowerPoint 2016 & Access 2016).
The exam will last 90 minutes. Students are encouraged to arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled time and wait outside the computer lab.
For a given class, the credit by exam may only be taken once. Also, the credit by exam will not be administered to a student who has failed the class (unless a "W" was received).
