During the 2012-13 academic year, the Wichita State University Strategic Planning Committee developed Phase 1 of a new university plan (see here for more information). In the 2013-2014, the Barton School developed a new college strategic plan part of Phase 2 of the Wichita State University strategic planning initiative. This plan was the result of deep and meaningful bottom-up development, with participation from faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. This plan was designed to align with the WSU strategic plan. More details about the planning process and the 2014 strategic plan are available here.
Development of the 2016 Strategic Plan:
During the 2015-2016 academic year, the University asked each college to demonstrate how the college strategic plans were aligned with the seven goals in the University Strategic plan. To better align the Barton School’s strategic plan, the 20134plan was condensed with some modifications to specifically align with each goal of the University. This revised plan was adopted and approved by the Barton School’s faculty in on September 22, 2016.
