About Mr. Scott:

Lee Scott was named president and chief executive officer of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in January 2000. Under his leadership, the company has continued to grow and improve throughout its business formats, including Wal-Mart discount stores, Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets; SAM’S CLUBS; and Walmart.com. Wal-Mart’s international business has seen particular growth and profit improvement in recent years. Mr. Scott serves on the board of directors for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

About The James P. Schwartz Memorial Lecture Series:

The James P. Schwartz Lecture Series was established in 1975 in honor of University of Wichita alum James P. Schwartz who served as vice president of finance of Pizza Hut Inc. before his untimely death in 1970. The series is dedicated to expanding horizons in business and has featured presentations from business leaders such as H. Lee Scott, president and CEO of WalMart Stores Inc. and Steve Reinemund, former CEO of PepsiCo.
