Bill Zollars discussed the transformation of an 85 year-old company from "One oft he Worst Companies in America" as described by FORTUNE magazine in 1996 to the "#1 Most Admired Company" in its industry for the past 5 years as ranked by FORTUNE.  YRC Worldwide is number 220 on the FORTUNE 500 List of largest companies and annually generates $10 billion in revenue.   

Bill Zollars has led the transformation of a limited service domestic trucking company to a worldwide leader in transportation services with operations in more than 70 countries.  

Bill spoke about the leadership, people, processes and technology required to achieve this transformation.  The issues and lessons discussed are applicable to any organization willing to embrace change.

About The James P. Schwartz Memorial Lecture Series:

The James P. Schwartz Lecture Series was established in 1975 in honor of University of Wichita alum James P. Schwartz who served as vice president of finance of Pizza Hut Inc. before his untimely death in 1970. The series is dedicated to expanding horizons in business and has featured presentations from business leaders such as H. Lee Scott, president and CEO of WalMart Stores Inc. and Steve Reinemund, former CEO of PepsiCo.
