Every day, about ten people die from unintentional drowning. Help reduce that number by becoming a lifeguard and help make swimming a safe and fun recreational activity.
Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you will learn essential skills to work as a professional lifeguard. These skills include: teamwork, rescue and surveillance, First Aid and CPR/AED.
• Participants must be at least 15 years old to take the course
• Three sessions will be offered in the spring semester
• Course Price - $200 for community, $175 for WSU Students
• Participants must attend all class days in the registered session
