Behavioral or mental health touches the lives of everyone.  The Center for Behavioral Health Initiatives works to improve the effectiveness of behavioral health treatments while also creating environments and communities in which behavioral health issues and disabilities are less likely to occur in the first place.  From prevention to support and treatment, the center supports innovation in behavioral health systems.  We actively partner with communities and organizations such as the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services, behavioral health providers, grass-roots peer support and advocacy organizations and community coalitions so that all Kansans might use their talents and experiences to create thriving communities in which people develop resiliency and experience the realities of recovery.
