Printable Scholarship List & Descriptions

All scholarship recipients must be declared entrepreneurship majors and, unless noted otherwise, must be full-time students enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours per semester at the undergraduate level or 9 hours per semester at the graduate level. Part-time undergraduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 hours during the academic year and 3 hours during the summer session. Awards are for one year and are generally dispersed equally in the fall and spring semesters. Selection of recipients will be made without regard to race, color, religion or national origin. Other requirements are indicated under each specific scholarship.


Donna Jabara Baker Endowed Scholarship

Two scholarships, one male and one female
Requirements:

Class standing: Completion of 24 or more hours
G.P.A. of 3.0 or above
Financial need: Demonstrated
Preferred: U.S. citizen, resident of Kansas

Note: Recipients must be currently enrolled in or have successfully completed at least one course in entrepreneurship. A committee will select the recipients.

W. Frank Barton Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class standing: Sophomore or above
G.P.A. of 2.5 or above
Financial need: Demonstrated

Note: A selection committee will screen all applicants and will choose four (4) finalists for personal interviews. The recipient may reapply.

V. Jerry Blue Scholarships in Entrepreneurship

Two scholarships: one undergraduate and one graduate, two undergraduate or two graduate
Requirements:

Undergraduate:
G.P.A. of 3.0 or above
Financial need: Demonstrated
Graduate:
G.P.A. of 3.0 or above
Financial need: Demonstrated

Byron W. Boothe Endowed Memorial Scholarship

Requirements:

U.S. citizen, Kansas residency
Current involvement in, demonstrated interest in, or potential for starting a business.
Award is for summer semesters only.

Beverly and Daniel Carney Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class standing: Freshman or above
Financial need: None

Note: This scholarship will be renewed annually upon application for renewal until degree completion or 4 years and continuing satisfaction of criteria for the student's degree program.

Carney Endowed Fellowships

Scholarships, fellowships or assistantships for graduate students in entrepreneurship and/or scholarships for undergraduates majoring in entrepreneurship.
Requirements:

Financial need: None

Frank and Zenda Carney Endowed Scholarship

Requirements:

G.P.A. of 2.8 or above
Financial need: Demonstrated

Gertrude W. Devlin Scholarship

Two scholarships for actual cost of tuition (eighteen hour maximum), fees and books
Requirements:

G.P.A. of 2.25 or above
Financial need: Demonstrated
Preference: Employees of Flint Hills National Golf Club, Inc.

Note: Applicants must have worked full or part-time during their high school careers and must demonstrate a desire for personal achievement and a college degree. Students must work full or part-time while taking college courses. The scholarships may be renewed providing eligibility requirements are met.

Gerald Graham Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class Standing: Freshman or above
G.P.A. of 2.25 or above
Financial need: None

Note: Considers leadership qualities, school/community involvement, and entrepreneurial endeavors

Peter B. Hoidale Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class Standing: Junior
G.P.A. of 3.0 or above
Financial need: None
Resident of Kansas or Oklahoma
Graduate of a Kansas or Oklahoma high school

Note: The scholarship will be automatically renewed during the recipient's senior year, provided the student has met all scholarship criteria.

Professor Fran Jabara Endowed Scholarship

Eight scholarships; two at each class level
Requirements:

Class Standing: Freshman
Financial need: None

Note: Considers high school academic merit, extra curricular activities and work experience. Renewable scholarship.

Fred C. Koch Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Three scholarships
Requirements:

Class Standing: Sophomore, Junior and Senior
G.P.A. of 3.25 or above
Financial need: None

Note: Demonstrated good character and desire to succeed. The scholarship may be renewed during the recipient's junior and senior years, provided the student has maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.25 and other criteria for the award are met. The total possible award per scholarship is $4,500.

Marcus Family Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class standing: Freshman or above
Financial need: None

Note: This scholarship will be renewed annually upon application for renewal until degree completion or 4 years and continuing satisfaction of criteria for the student's degree program.

Kenneth B. Northcutt Memorial Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class standing: Freshman or above
Financial need: None

Note: Consideration given to high school performance, college potential (as indicated by aptitude tests), and leadership qualities of the applicant.

Mike Oatman Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

Requirements:

Class standing: Freshman or above
G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
Financial need: Demonstrated
Enrollment: Full or part time

Note: This scholarship may be renewed annually with satisfactory academic progress.

Richard and Jean Reidenbaugh Endowed Scholarship

Requirements:

Class standing: Freshman or above
Financial need: None

Note: Consideration given to high school performance, college potential (as indicated by aptitude tests), and leadership qualities. Applicant must be enrolled in or have taken a course in entrepreneurship. This scholarship will be renewed automatically providing the student makes satisfactory academic progress.

Dale and Mary Sloan Spurrier Endowed Scholarship

Requirements:

G.P.A. of 2.75 or above
Financial need: None
Note: The scholarship will be renewed automatically providing the student makes satisfactory academic progress and maintains a minimum 2.75 G.P.A.
