The major offers students challenging courses in the formal study of entrepreneurship and require completion of the University's general education courses, courses in the business core, and specified classes in entrepreneurship. Additionally, students are required to understand risk analysis, to problem solve, to develop a business strategy for a new or growing venture and ultimately to research and write a business plan. Outside of the classroom environment, students have the opportunity to gain hands on experience through internships and the cooperative education program. Students may opt to study at another institution through the National Student Exchange Program or at a number of foreign universities which have exchange programs with the Barton School of Business.
