Dental Day

Are you interested in a career in dentistry? Come and spend a day in the dental field! Our camp is geared toward high school students interested in the field of dentistry, including dental hygiene and dental assisting. Dental Day is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and learn more about what it takes to follow a career path in dentistry.

Program Highlights:

  • Program instruction by distinguished WSU AEGD and Dental Hygiene faculty
  • One-on-one mentorship provided by our current AEGD dental residents
  • Tour our state-of-the-art dental clinic
  • Hands-on interactive experience in the only dental simulation lab in the state of Kansas
  • Experience what it is like to drill on real teeth
  • Take impressions and create a mold of your teeth
  • Take a digital x-ray and use the intra-oral camera
  • Use the latest dental tools and technology
  • Learn what it takes to pursue a career in the dental field
  • All students will receive a WSU Dental Day t-shirt
  • Breakfast and Lunch will be provided

When is Dental Day?
This event occurs every summer. Information about registration is posted to this page in April.

What does it cost?
Dental Day is $15 per student. The fee is non-refundable.

How should I pay the registration fee?
We accept check or money order payable to WSU-AEGD Dental Day or register online.

Where should I mail the registration fee?

When is registration due?
All registrations, cancellations and fee payments are due in May.

What do participants need for Dental Day?
Participants will need to wear pants, a T-shirt and closed-toe shoes. Please note that participants are not allowed to wear shorts or flip flops to Dental Day because they will be touring the dental areas. If individuals have long hair, they should have it pulled back. Participants will have the opportunity to change into their WSU Dental Day t-shirt at check-in.
