Student Advising Assistance
The College of Health Professions' Office of Advising and Student Services provides assistance to the pre-program student who is interested in one of our nursing or allied health programs these programs includes:
- Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Dental Hygiene
- Health Services Management and Community Development
- Medical Technology
- Nursing
- Physical Therapy
- Physician Assistant or undecided.
If you are interested in a pre-medical program (for example, pre-Medical, pre-Dentistry, etc.), please check the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences pre-medical professions web page.
CURRENT WSU
We offer the following services to students currently attending Wichita State University:
- Information on prerequisite requirements for applying to CHP professional programs.
- Information concerning deadlines and procedures for applying to CHP professional programs.
- Information on graduation requirements for academic programs in the college.
- Course schedule preparation each semester.
- Assistance with exceptions to catalog requirements.
- Preparation of plans of study so students can meet prerequisite requirements for applying to various professional programs.
- Assistance with student record transfers to and from other academic colleges on campus.
- Assistance with health professions career development course suggestions.
- Information about careers in the health professions.
- Assistance with enrollment in other special courses offered by the College of Health Professions.
HIGH SCHOOL
We offer the following services to high school students interested in attending College of Health Professions at Wichita State University:
- Information on prerequisite requirements for applying to professional programs.
- Information on graduation requirements for academic programs in the college.
- Assistance with scheduling of campus visits.
- Course schedule preparation each semester.
- Preparation of plans of study so students can meet prerequisite requirements for applying to various professional programs.
- Assistance with health professions' career development course suggestions.
- Assistance with enrollment in other special courses offered by CHP.
TRANSFERS
We offer the following services to students transferring to Wichita State University:

A returning adult student is a student over age 21 who has been out of school (high school or college) for 2 or more years. We offer the following services to returning adult students at Wichita State University:
