Wichita State University’s Center for Innovation and Enterprise Engagement is hosting a FREE Industry Roundtable event featuring Kit Wagar, Outreach Specialist with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) who will share the latest changes businesses can expect to the Affordable Care Act.

Mr. Wagar will be the keynote speaker focusing on the Affordable Care Act and what changes employers can expect as a result of the Supreme Court ruling. We know you have important questions about the components of this legislation, how recent events will affect the implementation of the legislation and specifically, how the legislation will affect your business.  Mr. Wagar will share information and answer your specific questions related to the Affordable Care Act.

About the Speaker:

Kit Wagar is the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Outreach Specialist for Region 7, working with the Regional Director to explain the department’s role in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.  Wagar joined the department in October 2010 with the primary task of demystifying the Affordable Care Act, the landmark health reform legislation approved by Congress earlier in the year. 

Before entering the public service, Wagar spent 29 years in the newspaper business.  Wagar’s work has been recognized with eight national journalism awards for investigative reporting or public service, and he was one of three finalists for a Pulitzer Prize in investigative reporting in 1990.
