Program Length

This is a full bachelor's program which requires completion of 120 overall credits, typically a 4 year program.

  • Transfer students may be able to earn their BS online in two years or less.
  • Your individual plan of study will be customized based on your schedule and prior coursework.

WSU will accept transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions.

Credit for Prior Learning may be applied for:

BS in Criminal Justice curriculum

As an online student in the BS criminal justice program, you will gain a broad perspective into policies and practicies of the criminal justice system including law enforcement, corrections and the courts.

This degree will prepare you for a position in the criminal justice system or to pursue advanced degrees in law, criminal justice or other social sciences.

  • BSCJ Major Curriculum Courses - 21 credit hours
  • BSCJ Elective Courses - 15 credit hours
  • Spanish 212 - 5 credit hours
  • English 210 - 3 credit hours
  • Ethnic Studies 360 - 3 credit hours
Transfer Credits

You may transfer credits from other regionally accredited institutions and work with your online academic advisor to devleop a plan of study that will help you finish your degree online.

BSCJ online program students may qualify to receive academic credit for completing Law Enforcement Academy Training or Detention Deputy Training, request more information from your CJ Online Academic Advisor.
