English Education Program

 The Wichita State University English Education Program prepares highly qualified English teachers. This program provides opportunities for licensure in English Language Arts grades 5-8 or grades 6-12, or as an endorsement in middle level (grades 5-8) licensure. Course work includes English and professional education content such as linguistics, literature genres, writing, literacy, diversity, ethics, and pedagogical content knowledge. Skills and knowledge are applied in field experiences throughout the program. This program is successful in graduating English teachers who fill the need for English teachers in school districts throughout the United States.
