Shocker STEM Camp

Campers will spend four days performing hands-on activities as they explore a variety of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics including: programming, forensic science (CSI), and engineering design.

Session 1
When: June 19 – 22; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day
Where: Wichita State University Main Campus
Who: Boys and girls who have completed grades 6 - 8
Cost: $100

Session 2
When: June 26 – 29; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day
Where: Wichita State University Main Campus
Who: Boys and girls who have completed grades 3 - 5
Cost: $100

Girls Rock Science

Girls Rock Science

Girls will get to enjoy 2 days of hands on experiences from learning how a robot works, to practicing CODE, to seeing your imagination come to life through a 3D printer, to exploring what makes an airplane fly!  Meet local women working in and leading STEM industries. Girls will work together to solve problems and compete in challenges aimed at giving them a taste of the fun in specific science, technology, engineering, and math programs.

Session 1
When: June 1 - 2; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day
Where: Wichita Area Technical College (4004 N. Webb Road)
Who: 6th - 8th grade girls
Cost: $35 includes lunch

Session 2
When: June 12 - 13; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day
Where: Wichita Area Technical College (4004 N. Webb Road)
Who: 3rd - 5th grade girls
Cost: $35 includes lunch
