The Master of Education in Special Education (Low incidence) emphasis at Wichita State University, developed cooperatively with the University of Kansas, prepares educators who are familiar with and can implement research-validated practices that increase the likelihood that students with severe/multiple disabilities will be successful learners and actualize their potential. In addition, the program is designed to provide support to professionals in beginning special education positions to increase the likelihood of success in their endorsement area (i.e., Low Incidence).
Candidates who wish to add the low incidence endorsement to their teaching certificate or license may enroll in an endorsement only program.
