Congratulations on your upcoming Graduation!
We're pleased you have reached this stage of your educational goal. You have much to be proud of and we hope you will join your friends, family, and the University in celebrating your achievements at one of our upcoming graduation ceremonies. The WSU Fall 2009 Commencement ceremony will be held December 13, 2009. Please check the individual college ceremony pages for more details.
- Wichita State University holds two commencement ceremonies each year. One for spring semester graduates in a May ceremony and one for fall semester graduates in a December ceremony. In May, graduate and undergraduate degrees are conferred during six individual college ceremonies. In December, there is one ceremony for the conferral of all degrees.
- Students eligible to graduate are sent by postal mail an information brochure in late September for Fall graduation and in late February or early March for Spring graduation. The brochure includes instructions on how go to the myTools link in the myWSU portal and make reservations on line to attend the commencement ceremony. Please click on the photo to the right for a pdf version of the brochure.
- Only those students who have filed an application for degree with their college by the deadline will be sent information brochures. If you file after the deadline and will complete your degree requirements, you may attend the ceremony but you will not receive the brochure and your name will not be in the program. A notice will appear in the myTools section of your myWSU portal giving you directions on how to make reservations.
- When you submit your on-line reservation to attend Commencement you will be asked to print an online confirmation. Please print the confirmation information because it will contain important information regarding check-in. This will be the only confirmation you receive.
