Registration:

Pre-registration is required.  Please register by March 26, 2014.  Continental breakfast and lunch are included.  You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of receipt of your registration form.  If you do not, please contact the conference office at 316-978-6493.


Hotel Information:

A limited number of rooms have been arranged  for conference attendees with the Courtyard by Marriott, 3020 Riffel Dr., Salina, KS 67401.  Room rates are $99.00 + tax.  Reservations must be received by March 20.  When you make your reservation, please identify yourself as a Birth Clerk Conference participant.  To make reservations call the Courtyard by Marriott at 785-309-1300.


VRV WEB TRAINING

Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy

The Office of Vital Statistics is offering updated training on the entry process of birth and stillbirth records into the KS VRV Web system one day prior to the conference.  This three and  a half hour class will be held at the Kansas Highway Patrol training center and not at the conference location. Items will be covered include the following:

  • Handling home births and en-route births.
  • Removing father’s information.
  • Rural route and post office addresses.
  • City locations not on drop downs.
  • Computer settings
  • Entering multiple births/stillbirths.
  • Attendant’s address not printing.
  • Changing security information, including password.

This class is separate from the conference. Registration for the conference is separate from registering for the class.
