Abstracts are to be submitted no later than 5:00 pm, Friday, March 3. No exceptions will be made for late submissions.
Presenter Registration and Membership to KPHA:
You do not need to be a KPHA member to submit an abstract. If your abstract is selected as an oral or poster presentation, the presenting author(s) MUST become a KPHA member and register for the conference. A special one-day registration option will be available for presenters who want to attend the conference only on the day they present. Session presenters are NOT reimbursed for registration or expenses to attend the conference.

Theme and Content:
The theme for the 2017 Kansas Public Health Association Conference is "KPHA 2017: It's Time to Activate". We have focused on promoting and advocating now it is time to take action. We are looking for sessions that showcase how best practices are being implemented from the community level to the state level.

Special rates for conference attendees have been arranged with the DoubleTree. Single and double occupancy rates are $109.00 + tax per night.
Reservations must be received by September 25, 2017. When you make your reservation, please identify yourself as a Kansas Public Health Association Conference participant.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Room assignments prior to that time are based upon availability. Checkout time is 12:00 p.m.
Check back in early April 2017 for exhibitor registration.
*Your application to exhibit at the annual conference will be reviewed by KANSAS PUBLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATION, and if it is determined that your product or information contradicts the KANSAS PUBLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATION mission or policies, your application will be denied and a refund will be made. The Kansas Public Health Association reserves the right to exercise their sole discretion in the acceptance or refusal of an application to exhibit at the annual conference for any reason, with or without cause.
