WSU Students Searching for Internships with Elected Kansas Officials

If you have an interest in politics or want to see the interworking’s of the government, an internship with anKansas Capital elected official can offer you valuable work-based learning experience.

(Most government internships will focus on the following majors:  Bachelor of General Studies, Business Administration, Field Major, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Women’s Studies)

To get started, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Meet the program requirements set by each college
  • Step 2: Get registered in our system
  • Step 3: Watch for an email from our office (24 - 48 hours after registration has been completed.) Once you receive an approval e-mail from our office, schedule to attend a Professional Practice Workshop (PPW) by calling (316) 978-3688.
  • Step 4:  Meet with your co-op coordinator.
  • Step 5:  Apply for positions.
