For those individuals who are not students, faculty, and staff at WSU, you may not be eligible for services at the CTC. You may also be seeking a service that is not provided by the WSU CTC (such as child therapy, neuropsychological testing, state disability assessment, or custody and parenting evaluations). If so, there are several local agencies below which may be able to assist you:
Community Organizations
- Prairie View Regional Mental Health Center is a non-profit behavioral and mental health center with six locations in Kansas (Newton, East & West Wichita, Hutchinson, McPherson, & Marion). They offer treatment in psychiatric hospitalization, outpatient services, a community support program, and an accredited day school and organizational consultation services. They commonly treat children, adolescents, adults and older adults for a complete range of behavioral and mental health issues including, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, eating disorders, dementia, sexually related issues, grief, cognitive disorders, alcohol and substance abuse issues, and family and marriage issues. - University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita is a medical training and treatment center with staff providing outpatient medical and psychiatric treatment services. - COMCARE of Sedgwick County is the community mental health center serving residents of Sedgwick County. They provide treatment for 24 hour Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention, Children, Adult Mental Health, Adult Addiction Treatment, Adult Community Support, Homelessness, and Sedgwick County Offender Assessment. - South Central Mental Health is the community mental health centers serving residents of Butler County. SCMH provides services for individual, group and family therapy, adults and children, as well as services that assist with companies. 120 S.
