CPAA Coordinator

Nicholas Walton MEd, earned his Masters in Exercise Science at Wichita State University.  His previous experiences include five years working with special populations in phase II cardiac rehabilitation and two years lecturing undergraduate courses part time at Wichita State University for the Department of Human Performance Studies. 

Nick returned to Wichita State University in the fall of 2010 as Coordinator for the Center for Physical Activity and Aging.  Nick’s primary Responsibilities as Coordinator for the CPAA responsibilities include the administration and development of multiple exercise interventions for older adults and special populations, arranging for facility use, instruction/supervision of group exercise class offered by the CPAA, as well as testing and monitoring of these groups and promotion of the center. 

In addition to his role as Coordinator for the CPAA he is also an educator for the Department of Human Performance Studies.  Nick teaches undergraduate and graduate course in exercise science including, Fundamentals in Fitness and Exercise, Prescription of Exercise, Fitness Assessment and Exercise Recommendations and over sees undergraduate exercise science students as part of Fitness Practicum.
