Fraternities and sororities have a long-standing tradition of leadership on the Wichita State University campus. Like many of the programs and services offered by the Center for Student Leadership, fraternities and sororities can be matched to a student's particular interest in service, cultural heritage, or personal values. WSU offers over a dozen national fraternities and sororities to potential members.
Your first experience with most fraternities and sororities at WSU will most likely be through a recruitment or membership intake process. Fraternities and sororities may hold these activities at different points in the year, and they each have different requirements for membership.
In addition to recruitment, WSU fraternities and sororities focus a great deal of time on community service, member education and development, scholarship, and social activity. Our fraternities and sororities boast impressive chapter grade point averages, often above campus averages for men and women. They are also active in the community, donating hundreds of service hours to needy families and organizations in Wichita and around the country.
As social organizations, fraternities and sororities maintain an exciting and balanced social calendar, which enhances the sense of unity in the WSU Greek community.
Greek membership is a lifelong adventure, reaching far beyond a member's undergraduate years. Going Greek at Wichita State University is an exciting experience one surely not to be forgotten!
