Department of Economics
Want to know how to answer questions like:
Are guns more dangerous than swimming pools?
Why do drug dealers live with their moms?
Is it more dangerous to drive drunk or walk drunk?
Economists study questions like these, and more mundane questions like why does the price of gasoline go up and down and what can we do to improve the economy. Studying economics gives you insight into how the world around you actually works. Studying economics is an excellent preparation for careers in business, law, public service, and many other fields.
