The safety of students, faculty, staff and guests on Wichita State University campuses is critically important.

Wichita State boasts a large, full-time university police force and a campus-wide phone system that includes widespread emergency call boxes. The University Police Department works closely with nearby Wichita Police Department and Wichita Fire Department stations. Should a crisis occur, the university is prepared with an emergency operations plan and an integrated communication network utilizing the newest technology to keep students, parents, faculty and staff informed.
