The safety of students is of primary importance to Wichita State University administrators, faculty and staff.
Wichita State boasts a large, full-time university police force and a campus-wide phone system that includes widespread emergency call boxes. The University Police Department works closely with nearby Wichita Police Department and Wichita Fire Department stations. Should a crisis occur, the University has an evolving emergency operations plan and an integrated network of alert systems utilizing the newest technology to keep students and parents informed.
