The Science and Engineering Educational Development for Students (SEEDS) program was established at Wichita State University in 2004 through grant funding. SEEDS lets students in grades 5 through 8 explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through fun, free, hands-on activities like Lego Mindstorms, Roller Coasters and Animator Academy.
The next Nobel Prize winner, or Fields Medal recipient could be someone you know. Allow them to explore the sciences through SEEDS and then step back and be amazed at what they can accomplish.
The Wichita State University College of Engineering and Johnson Controls Unitary Products Group will host twenty-five Project Lead The Way (PLTW) seniors at the Johnson Controls facility on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 8:00 AM - 4:30pm for "PLTW Explore Engineering with Johnson Controls".
This event will provide Wichita-area PLTW seniors a unique opportunity to meet with key members of the Johnson Controls leadership team, tour their plant and labs, and work on a real-world engineering problem in an industry environment.
