WSU Shift Space
WSU Shift Space is the School of Art & Design's 1800 sq. ft. off-campus student gallery located in Old Town, the heart of Wichita's entertainment district. The gallery's name is derived from its original status as a "roaming" gallery that moved from location to location with each exhibition. A permanent space at 803 E. 3rd St. was selected in 2007. BFA Senior Exit exhibitions and MFA Thesis shows are usually held at WSU Shift Space; it serves as a professional incubator for student exhibitions, collaborations, and myriad real-world learning opportunities. Lisa Rundstrom is the Gallery Director.
WSU Shift Space is also the host venue for the School of Art & Design's annual student wearable art contest and performance, Project Run-A-Way:
