Graphic Design
Jeff Pulaski earned his B.F.A. in Graphic Design at Wichita State University (1990), and his M.F.A. in Visual Communication at Kansas State University (2008). Before his current appointment, Jeff worked at Wichita State University as a half-time Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and half-time Web Developer. Research interests include typography and letterpress printing. He is the proprietor of Out of Sorts Press, a private press that experiments with wood and metal type to create books and posters. Previously, he worked as a freelance designer under the name Pulaski Design Studio, for Pioneer Balloon Company and the Wichita Eagle, all in Wichita, KS. He is a past President of the AIGA Wichita Chapter and has served as its Education Chair. He was awarded a Society of Newspaper Design Award of Excellence in 1993. Currently, he is a member of AIGA, the College Art Association and the American Printing History Association.
