Student Assistant, Financial Aid Student Services & Outreach Unit

Role: The student assistant is responsible for assisting in the reception area and answering phones in the Office of Financial Aid as well as supporting other office and clerical needs as requested.

Duties & Responsibilities: Duties include answering basic financial aid questions, routing students to the appropriate staff member as needed, managing return mail, supporting data entry and clerical request, assisting with student information tables, and preparing campus visit folders.


  • Required – Strong communication, computer, phone, and filing skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to work with diverse populations, eligibility for the Federal Work Study Program.
  • Preferred – Minimum 3.0 GPA, dependable, energetic team player with customer service background.

Please Note: All federal work study positions require direct deposit be setup through Payroll for disbursement of paychecks. Anyone who does not have direct deposit setup by October 1, 2011 will receive a cash card. These cash cards have fees for withdrawing of funds.
