Histories of the men and women behind WSU's endowed funds

Harold and Mary Brammer Endowed Fund

Harold Brammer graduated from the University of Wichita in 1943, with a degree in mathematics. He would teach at WU while on leave from officers training during World War II, and later complete his studies at the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School.
Mary (Armour) Brammer earned her degree in psychology from WU in 1942. A long-standing family history with the university, many of Dr. and Mrs. Brammers siblings, as well as two of their children, have attended WSU, including Marys mother, Minnie Armour, who was the housemother for Beta Theta Pi.
The Brammers understand the importance of higher education and the many educational benefits a well-augmented campus library offers to both students and community. Dr. and Mrs. Brammer established the Harold and Mary Brammer Endowed Fund, which assists in enhancing and expanding the WSU Ablah Library holdings. Their generosity will literally speak volumes for generations to come.
