Tutors: Computer Science, Physics, & Statics
Hello, I am Danny Nguyen, a senior double majoring in Computer Engineering and Physics. I grew up very close to technology; hogging the family computer to myself at age seven, assembling my own PC at twelve, and started to learn programming in an attempt to make my own video games the following year. I originally chose computer engineering because I was interested in these intricate devices that power nearly every aspect of our lives today, but quickly found out that it wasn’t only computers I was interested in learning about, but actually everything in the universe; so I took advantage of the double major program that WSU offers and enrolled in the Physics program. Despite the sometimes incredible difficulty of classes; there isn’t anything more rewarding than starting a semester knowing nothing and walking away 4 months later knowing how to do quantum mechanics. Every year I spent pursuing a science degree made me realize how stupid I used to be the year prior; an experience of growth I believe no other field of study can reproduce.
Tutors: Calculus I, II, & III, Dynamics, Thermodynamics & Circuits
My name is Khoi and I am a senior, majoring Electrical and Computer Science Engineering. I’m from Vietnam and have lived in Wichita for 4 years. I’ve always been fascinated with designing machines and writing programs so engineering is an obvious choice and I have a lot of fun doing it. I’m one of the GEEKS Tutors because I believe one of the best ways to learn something is to explain it to somebody else; also meeting new people every day is really interesting. Stop by the tutoring room (Wallace Hall 118) if you have any chance and say hi.
