Graduate Studies at WSU

Thank you for exploring graduate education possibilities at Wichita State University.  Situated in Wichita, Kansas, Wichita State is the only Kansas public university with an urban setting.  WSU combines the best programs, brightest minds, and extensive research opportunities with the limitless resources of Kansas’ largest city.  WSU offers access to professionals in virtually every industry, outstanding faculty, great state-of-the art facilities and research centers, the depth and breadth of curricular offerings, and the chance to apply classroom theory in real-world environments.

WSU offers a wide range of graduate education choices, including 12 doctoral programs and more than 40 master’s degrees and one education specialist degree, plus over 20 graduate certificate programs.   Wichita State has graduate programs in Business, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Health Professions, and Liberal Arts and Sciences.  We have approximately 3,000 graduate students, roughly one of every five WSU students, from all 50 states and over 85 countries.

Our goals at the Graduate School are to encourage independent scholarship and to develop competency in research or other creative activities.  Our students are expected to be intellectually curious, successful in their professional relationships, and creative problem solvers.  We emphasize high ethics and integrity in all professional and intellectual activities.
