Uploading Graduate Application Materials

Effective December 1, 2016, applicants can begin uploading their unofficial supporting materials in support of their online application. We will use the unofficial documents to determine if applicants are admissible. Those who are offered admission will be required to submit official transcripts and test scores (as needed) by the 20th day of classes in the semester in which they enroll at Wichita State University.

Please follow the instructions below carefully to make sure your documents will be matched to your application.

1.  Scan Your Supporting Materials

All Applicants should scan the following documents:

  • Official transcripts (must include the back of the transcript if it is not blank).
  • Any supporting materials that must be submitted, including any required departmental materials (note where departmental materials should be submitted and follow those instructions - do not upload materials here that should be sent directly to the department).
  • Test scores (GRE, GMAT, MAT)

International Students should also scan the following documents:

  • Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores
  • Degree certificate
  • Certification of Financial Support and financial documentation,
  • Passport copy

Domestic Students should also scan the following documents, if applicable:

  • Permanent Resident Card
  • McNair Scholars fee waiver letter

NOTE:  Scan your documents into pdf (Adobe Reader format), if possible.

2. Create the files to be uploaded.  Include your full name when you create the file to
be uploaded.  Examples of how to name the files:
        •  STUDENT’S NAME  Personal Statement.pdf
        •  STUDENT’S NAME  Resume.pdf
        •  STUDENT’S NAME Transcript.pdf

3. Electronically Submit your materials
    Please note the following:

  • Do NOT upload the same documents multiple times.
  • Do NOT share a DropBox folder with us.
  • Do NOT zip (or compress) files that you upload or send

Once you have uploaded your documents through the easy Dropbox interface, you will receive a green "DONE" confirmation box, as well as an automated confirmation email from Dropbox indicating the documents were received.  Graduate School staff will download documents from Dropbox daily, and update the information in our database in the order in which materials were received.  During high volume time frames, this can take several days - if you received the upload confirmation email (check your junkmail folders), rest assured that we have received the documents.  We will update the database to reflect that "Uploaded Documents" were received as soon as we are able to.  When an admissions officer processes the file further, we will specify what documents were received, and what might still be needed.
