Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment

August 11th-15th, 2018

Panhellenic Recruitment is the three-day process through which college women consider sororities and sororities choose new sisters. You will meet and converse with members of the five Panhellenic chapters here at Wichita State, learning their individual chapter values, as well as the six Panhellenic values: Greek unity, sisterhood, scholarship, community service, leadership and character development.

By the end of recruitment, you will find the chapter that will help you grow into the best version of yourself. The memories you make as a Panhellenic woman will be the ones you cherish most from your college career. Remember, being a sorority woman isn’t just for four years. It’s for life.

Recruitment FAQs

When is Recruitment and what will we be doing?
2018 Formal Recruitment will be held August 11th-15th.

  • Philanthropy Night
  • This is the first night of conversation. You will hear about all the amazing philanthropies our chapters support, and why they love them.
  • Values Night
    Hear about the unique values of each chapter you were asked back to.
  • Preference Night
    The last night, Preference Night, is very personal. You will have deep conversation with chapter members, with the possibility that you will become their new sister.
  • Bid Day
    Recruitment ends with BID DAY! Open your bids and see which chapter you are now a sister of. This day begins one of the greatest journeys of your college career.

Does it cost to go through Recruitment?
Yes, it costs $50 from April 1, 2018 to July 31, 2018 to go through Recruitment. On August 1, 2018 the registration fee will go up to $60. Recruitment registration closes on August 7, 2018.

Do I have to register?
Yes you do. The deadline to sign up is August 7, 2018.

How will I know where to go and what time to be there?
When you sign up for recruitment you will be assigned a Recruitment Counselor. These Recruitment Counselors are chapter women who have decided to help Panhellenic during Recruitment. They will be in contact with you from when you sign up to the end of the recruitment process. They will let you know where you have to be and when. If you ever have any questions they will be the ones to ask, because they know everything!

What if I have a class during Recruitment?
Let your Recruitment Counselor know and the Executive Committee will work with you to ensure you are able to go through.

Do I have to come to each night of Recruitment?
All nights are mandatory, because the chapters need to get to know you in order to invite you back the next night. If you have a class, illness, or family emergency, notify your Recruitment Counselor as soon as possible and the Executive Committee will work with you.
