A Word from the Assistant Director/Program Counselor

My name is Shukura Bakari-Cozart. It is wonderful to be a part of the McNair family as the Program Counselor. I am a McNair Alum, participating during its charter year in 1995 and continuing until 1997 when I received my bachelor's degree. I also have a master's degree in Educational Counseling from WSU. One of my goals as the Program Counselor is to enhance students' skill base in research and writing so they will be prepared for graduate study. We often talk about finding passion in what we do. My passion is helping students succeed!
