Ask 10 different people to define the typical Wichita State experience and chances are you'll get 10 different answers. That's because there really is no "typical" Wichita State experience. Campus residents have always had the luxury of creating their college life, exactly the way they want it.

  • Resident Assistants (RAs) - RAs serve as mentors, provide a built-in support system, and enhance the sense of community within the residence halls.
  • Peer Academic Leaders (PALs) - PALs serve as mentors, provide a built in support system, and enhance the sense of community within each Living Learning Community (LLC).
  • Living Learning Communities (LLCs) - Live with like-minded individuals by signing up for and participating in one of our 10 Living Learning Communities in Shocker Hall.

  • WSU Student Involvement - Learn more about Student Activities Council, student organizations, civic engagement, Greek Life, leadership, service-learning and the RSC Gallery.
  • Student Government Association - Wichita State's Student Government Association is a student-governed body dedicated to student issues and concerns. SGA works in partnership with the administration in the allocation of nearly $7 million in student fees, funding student services, organizations and scholarships.

  • First Year Programs - Stay connected and ease your transition to Wichita State with the help of First Year Programs. This office coordinates events and opportunities designed especially for students in their first year at WSU, including orientation.

  • Rhatigan Student Center - The epicenter of student life on Wichita State's main campus. Restaurants, snacks, bowling, banking, books — the RSC has it all.

  • Counseling and Testing - In addition to affordable counseling services, this office assists students in earning credit from the following areas: Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, SAT, ACT, CLEP and more.
  • Student Health Services - The nurses and physicians at Student Health Services provide medical care and treatment for ill and injured students. Additional services include health and wellness education, nutrition counseling, annual exams and limited pharmacy services.
