Classification and Compensation

The Classification and Compensation unit is responsible for the administration of compensation programs for all non-faculty staff at Wichita State University. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a uniform system of classifications as well as the job description library.
  • Identifying appropriate category for new positions.
  • Developing and maintaining a competitive salary structure for staff positions.
  • Responding to inquiries and advising on applicable pay policies, laws, and regulations that impact compensation.
