Our students are not dependent on us. We are dependent on them.
Our students are not an interruption of our work; they are the purpose of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them; they are doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.
Our students are not outsiders to our daily work; they are a part of it.
Our students are not cold statistics, names on computer files or hold lists; they are flesh and blood human beings.
Our students are not someone with whom to argue. If you can't answer their questions or address why they are "upset," seek assistance from another staff member.
Our students are people who bring us their hopes, wants, needs and frustrations. It is our duty to respond to them in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
When in doubt..."The Golden Rule" always applies to our students.
