The Jazz Studies faculty at Wichita State University are world class. Each of our faculty members performs locally, and many perform nationally and internationally on concert series and festivals. Visit the individual pages of our faculty members for more information. The faculty also perform together as the WSU Faculty Jazz Quintet; you can catch them at WSU events, at the Wichita Art Museum, and at other Wichita area locales.

In the WSU School of Music, we pride ourselves on a low faculty to student ratio, and the Jazz Studies Department is no exception to this rule. We make sure that all of our students receive individual time with instructors--not only in lessons, but during Jazz area masterclasses, combo coaching sessions, and big band rehearsals. Our number one goal is to help our students find their voice in jazz.
