SRS has partnered with Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP by providing office space to the staff of Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP. Also in its partnership role it offers a wide variety of connections in dealing with the foster care community. The mission statement of Kansas SRS is: "To protect children and promote adult self-sufficiency".

This is a great partner for Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP. They give care and a home to foster care children/youth in temporary out of home placement, as well as providing educational opportunities throughout the year.

Florence Crittenton

Another great partner for KKGU. "The empowerment of women has been the guiding concept of Florence Crittenton Services for over a century. FC offers hope for future independence to the troubled young women of Kansas by providing strengths- and skills- based treatment within a therapeutic environment with medical/psychiatric care and educational opportunities ‚ € building contributing members to our community." ~ www.flocritkansas.org

KVC

KVC offers services for foster care youth. They have helped support KKGU by providing referrals to the program. The mission of KVC is to enrich and enhance the lives of children and families by providing medical and behavioral healthcare, social services and education.

Wal-Mart

Topeka & Salina Stores

Wal-Mart stores in Salina and Topeka have been very generous to Region 3.

YMCA

The YMCA in Salina and Topeka have been strong supporters of Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP.

The KAAAC has teamed up with KKGU several times in the past to help offer quality, fun, and educational programs for youth.

"The Kansas African-American Affairs Commission is a seven-member body that devise strategies to address the public policy concerns of African-Americans through its partnerships with state agencies, corporations and foundations. The Commission will focus its efforts to address issues of equity for African-Americans in the areas of education, employment, health, business development and social services." ~www.kaaac.org
