The WSU KSBDC Program
The mission of the KSBDC is to increase economic prosperity in Kansas by helping entrepreneurs and small business owners start and grow their businesses through professional consulting, training and resources.
The KSBDC network helps small businesses compete and prosper in today's highly competitive global economy. Eight regional and two outreach centers combine the resources of professional staff, the state's best educational institutions, the private sector, and government to provide high quality, one-to-one, business management consulting, education programs, and practical information that enables small businesses to develop and thrive.
The WSU KSBDC is staffed by trained professionals with the knowledge and experience needed to provide expert counseling and training. They provide assistance in addressing the myriad of problems inherent in the start up phase and operations of small businesses.
Consulting. The WSU KSBDC provides free, individual consulting designed to find practical solutions to business problems. Our role is one of education and guidance. A representative sample of these services includes:
Education. Courses, seminars and conferences are conducted throughout the state at locations convenient to the small business community. Programs teach basic business skills as well as more advanced and specific business management. Topics include:
Any existing small business firm or individual interested in starting a business may receive assistance from the KSBDC. Consulting services are free! Workshops are free or offered for an affordable rate to cover expenses.
