Cheryl Miller is an assistant dean for Fairmount College. Her responsibilities include coordination of concurrent enrollment partnerships with area high schools, assessment of concurrent enrollment courses and organization of the college tenure and promotion process. She also handles general public relations and marketing work for Fairmount College, including the college newsletter, college website, catalog revisions and transfer guides. She is the administrative liaison between faculty governance committees and the dean, and coordinates annual college faculty elections. Other duties include teaching a section of WSU 101, Introduction to the University, serving as college commencement coordinator and coordinating the Watkins Visiting Professorship Lecture Series.

Her campus committee service includes the Unclassified Professional Senate, Foundations of Excellence, Shocker Marketing and Retention Team, University Marketing Council, Commencement Planning Committee-Fairmount College, Library Appeals, and Academic Operations Council.

Her professional memberships include the Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences, National Alliance for Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships, National Federation of Press Women, Kansas Professional Communicators and Wichita Professional Communicators.

She earned a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. She holds a Bachelor of General Studies in Communication and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Personnel Administration from Wichita State University. Her interests include birding, hiking, fishing and singing. She is the Vice President of the Wichita Audubon Society and is on the board of directors for the Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center. She also sings in the Wichita Symphony Chorus. Additionally, she is the coordinator for the Communicator of Achievement Award, given by the Kansas Professional Communicators.
