Important notes regarding scholarships and fellowships:
- The
PRIORITY DEADLINE
to submit an application for the 2010-2011 Academic Year is
FEBRUARY 1, 2010
.
- The availability of certain funds and their amounts may vary from year to year.
- Each complete application will be considered for any funds for which the applicant meets all guideline requirements.
- Committees meet to determine recipients in February and March. Award letters are generally sent mid-March.
- Recipients must submit a Student Acceptance Form for their scholarship(s) or fellowship(s).
- Recipients must meet all guidelines for their scholarship(s) or fellowship(s). Failure to meet guidelines may result in withdrawal of funds.
- Due to the large number of applications submitted each year and limited funds, a standard criterion has been set regarding the renewability of General LAS scholarships (awards for undergraduate students). In general, as long as a scholarship's guidelines allow, an award may be renewed up to the completion of the first bachelor's degree or the equivalent thereof. For students in LAS this equivalent is the completion of 124 credit hours or more.
Questions regarding LAS scholarships and fellowships may be directed to Candice Weathers, LAS Scholarship Coordinator in the LAS Dean's Office, Lindquist Hall 200, at 316-978-6659 or candice.weathers@wichita.edu.
