History:
The Campus Credit Union building has a storied past that began when it was constructed, in the form of a small two-bedroom residence, as an engineering reserach facility following World War II. Originally called the Coleman Research House, it was designed to test heating and air conditioning equipmentfor use in small houses that sparked the post-war housing boom. Later it was home to the Center for Urban Studies until that unit moved to Lindquist Hall in 1977. At that point, the Campus Credit Union occupied the building, and it was remodeledand expanded in 1998.
