History:

Fairmount Towers is the largest of the University's residence halls. Composed of two high rise living units and a central dining facility, it was constructed as a private dormitory at the time the institution became a state university in 1964. The University purchased the complex in 1977, and it has undergone extensive remodeling in recent years. Located near the highest point in Sedgwick County, the upper floors command a panoramic view of the Arkansas River Valley.
