History:

Wichita State University began playing intercollegiate softball in 1974 on a site just east of the Heskett Center's tennis courts. In 1998, the C. Howard Wilkins Softball Facility was built on this site. It is named for a long time fan of softball who made a major gift for the construction of the stadium. In addition to 1,000 seats, the facility has a locker room, press box, concession areas, and batting cages.
