Then select 2087 (for this year) and "Voices in Accord..."
Any direct participants (registered children or adults) may use code "Kodaly18" to receive the WSU discount of $2.00 per Kodaly CD ordered.  This code will work for CDs from years 2015, 2016 & 2017.  Discount codes only apply to Kodaly CDs and will only work for the current and two preceding years.  There is no longer a printed order form as ordering is done online.  Individuals may also contact the Fine Arts Box Office directly to order any available CD.

MKMEA Conference:  Wichita Fall 2015. Great success for KMEK hosts!!

OAKE National in Minneaoplis . March 19-21, 2015. 

OAKE 2014:  WSU and KMEK were represented by a great session presented by the team of  Lisa Simmelink, Hannah Northerns, Lauren Hirsh, Holly Taylor, Steve Oare and Elaine Bernstorf. 

OAKE 2013: WSU and KMEK were well represented at OAKE in Hartford, CT.

OAKE 2012:  WSU faculty and 6 members of KMEK attended the OAKE conference in Phoenix, AZ in March.  We are proud to announce that Lisa Simmelink was a candidate as a new national officer. The Wichita State Music Education department and USD 259 were well represented at the OAKE conference in Phoenix, March 15-17.  Dr. Elaine Bernstorf presented a poster session on the US Department of Education  PDAE Grant with WSU and USD259 and another poster session comparing Preschool Music in the USA and Kenya (Benson Okongo, Linda Mitchell, and Jeri Carroll were co-researchers).

National News:  At the the  NAfME Conference in St. Louis, March 30, 2012,  Dr. Steve Oare and Dr. Elaine Bernstorf presented an hour-long session on the action research compoents of the PDAE grant.

State News:  KMEK Level Three graduates will present at KSMEA 2014!

WSU Kodaly was well represented at KMEA (Kansas Music Educators Association.  Dr, Oare and Dr. Bernstorf presented the action research PDAE component  at the KMEA State Inservice Research Session in February at the Wichita, Hyatt.  Holly Taylor served as Chair for General Music and had great assistance from KMEK members.
